The engagement photo session
Engagement photos are a must for those who want to indulge in a more intimate photo shoot before the wedding. For foreigners travelling to Italy it also becomes an opportunity to romantically remember a trip made with their partner. The locations one can choose are the most varied. One can take a walk by the sea, in an ancient village or, why not, take a boat trip. In the photos below we are in Bellagio, and with Katie and Brennon we took a walk in the gardens of Villa Melzi. This is a very charming villa on the shore of Lake Como, a few steps from the centre of Bellagio. Many of the villas in the area can be seen by paying a ticket, but for shootings, a reservation is necessary a few months in advance. If you need more information you can contact me privately and I will be happy to help you.
Bellagio, the village
After the villa we went for an ice cream in the beautiful Borgo of Bellagio. In fine weather there are many tourists, but you just have to wander around a bit to discover hidden but beautifully lit corners.
Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
We finished the tour at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, where the couple was staying. The hotel has a wonderful garden and a pier that looks out directly onto Lake Como. The light at that point in the day was really splendid, so we couldn’t help but stop and take a couple of shots here.
